Here are a few free resources (and a few suggested affordable resources) for your personal study of the book of Nahum. Whether you are a member at the Bastrop Church of Christ who wants to study supplementally with my sermons from Nahum or someone who stumbled across this site for another reason. Either way, welcome. Free Resources:

Nahum Overview – The Bible Project has excellent overview videos for every book of the (protestant) Bible. You can also download the finished outline poster of the book of Nahum for free from their site.

STEP Bible on Nahum -the notes, word studies, summaries, and guides are excellent material for the church member seeking to study Nahum.

NET Bible on Nahum – The New English Bible is an online on-going translation project. The translation is original and the notes are excellent!

“Recessional” by Rudyard Kipling – A poem worth your contemplation while studying Nahum.

Affordable Resources:

Severe Compassion: The Gospel According to Nahum – a commentary/devotional book by Gregory D. Cook. Easy read and good information. It is $14.99 on Amazon and only $7.99 on Kindle.

Nahum-Malachi. Interpretation Commentary – A commentary designed for preachers and teachers, but has good, theological information from a quality OT scholar, Elizabeth Achtemeier.  It is $24.49 on Amazon and only $14.16 on Kindle.

Nahum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah. The Old Testament Library – A Commentary from the OT Library series by J. J. M. Roberts. This resource is concise yet rich. It is $40 on Amazon.
